Those of you who make a living by posting YouTube videos, my hat is off to you. Last Friday I made my first attempt of filming footage with the thought it would turn into a video. Just the act of setting up the camera had me mentally drained. I was diligent about getting a good perspective, ensured the background was presentable and obsessed over getting the best angle. I identified the boundaries of the field of view so that I would know the limits of the space I was working in. The setup took a couple of hours. Press record. After 5 minutes the laptop goes to sleep and stops recording. After 10 minutes I am fumbling around trying to build my project and realize the viewer cannot see what I am doing. After 15 minutes I am realizing I didn't describe the steps I just completed. After 20 minutes the camera beeps because the memory card is full. Now I understand why the professional channels have a staff.
